A very sad sight.
Kingsley Photographic Ltd was on Tottenham Court Road, close to both where I went to university (at UCL) and where I have - at various times - worked. It has ceased trading after 46 years.
I purchased film and batteries there as a student, but recently have no doubt contributed to it's downfall by only buying (an admittedly expensive) Manfrotto tripod. Do I only ever want to be able to buy kit online ? No. Do I want to pay alot more in a shop with expert advice ? No. But a balance needs to be found - not least by suppliers who need to consider their margins for the long-term survival of such shops.
After all, Jessops is seldom the answer...
